India-Australia Test Series 2008

Border-Gavaskar Trophy between Ind vs Aus has started and this has been the most awaited series of the year. Australians were giving equal respect to series against India like Ashes.

Australians were well prepared of the challenges of playing against Indian Cricket Team in India (thanks to Rajasthan Cricket Assocication for giving them flat pitches for 10 days preparation :) )and the Scores of the first 2 days of Bangalore test match tells that they are here to win.
They have ignored the spin option to their side and picking 3 fast bowlers as fast bowling is their strength.

Kumble is not seen among the wickets these days and most of the Batsmen around the world are picking him. Harbhajan singh and the fast bowlers have a big job of taking wickets now. Piyush chawla should be given a chance in this 4 test match series as he got 5 wicket haul in the BP XI vs Aus match.

Mike Hussey Proved his ability with a hundred and no wonder he has been called "Mr.Cricket" by Australian media. The Batsmens are going to be Crucial in the Test series as the consistency and temperament of Batsmens from both sides will be tested. I feel Sehwag,Gambhir combination should click for India as the "Good Start" by the openers would do a lot of good for the middle order batsmen.

Australians might have done the homework for Sachin,Ganguly,Dravid and laxman out of which i feel the first two might get caught in aussies trap.VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid has the ability to play long innings and this is the best time to prove them again.

It's Great Challenge for Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan to prove themselves and they are equal to the task. There's lot of enery and enthusiasm shown by both in the first two days of Bangalore Test. But their Counterparts Lee,Clark and Johnson will also hit hard. i am surprised that Australians have included Shane watson. He was out of the team last year and the IPL has changed everything for him. He has been a promising all-rounder since then. i hope he doesn't take much wickets and runs during this series. :) :)
