Nokia N91-Mobile Review.

I have been using it for the past 2 years. Switched from Samsung E700 to this mobile as it Started with a lot of promise. This mobile let me down a lot of times with my friends calling 'kuppai mobile'. :) and often some saying 'Thooki Poduda andha Sengalla', 'use it as a lemon for your vehicle'(Touchy 'Puli' :) :) . The 4 GB Hard Disk is what attracted me a lot and the pamplets mentioning '3000 songs can be stored' and something they projected this mobile as 'Music Edition'.

Straightaway i go to the Advantages and Disadvantages i feel this Mobile has.

Advantages:

1. 4 GB Internal Hard Disk. When i bought this was the first mobile to have something like this.

2. Taking Photos and Videos is quite Flexible and Compact, When compared to Camcorders and Digicams and even other Mobiles.

3. Play,Fwd, Rewind,Stop Option in the Face of the Slider and the Slide Window itself.

4. Memos,Anniversary and the To Dos. i used this a lot to make sure i don't forget any plan for the day/week/month. :) :)

5. Notepad.i use this heavily.

6. It Doesn't get hanged or break up, even if we threw it from 20 m to a wall.. i must say this. It's true.

DisAdvantages:

1. The Mobile Phone itself is too Bulky. a 250 gm Brick/Sengal :)

2. The Mobile's Memory Management is Very poor.

3. It gets hanged up, when we try to navigate quickly or if we send songs continuously through bluetooth. i have a Good 500 songs in my mobile's Music Gallery and transfer a lot to those who ask for some songs.

4. The Mobile Heats up Quickly and one can feel the heat, if we continuously speak for more than an hour.

5. Charger is not available Cheaply. The Original Charger is Charged :) at Rs.750.

6. The Menu/StartUp button is seen on the right side, than on the keypad. It makes people forget and search for it.

7. The Volume of the Speaker is way below par when compared to the Sony Ericsson Models.

8. Themes could have been more.

9. More Games and Apps could have been present than Push to Talk and Infra Red. I feel Infra red is good for nothing in Mobiles Now. Bluetooth Rules. :)

Remember that visit to Ram's place on a rainy day... you dropped your N95 in a flooded road and it still worked? Nokia makes some solid mobile phones. But Nokia needs to hire some new talent for their design department. All their phones look like phones pulled out of late 90s.

If you are going for new mobiles here are my suggestions,

Get an iPhone or HTC Touch Pro HD.... best phones out there.Nokia's E71 is awesome. My friend owns E71 and it looks classy.
